The SIAT is a campus located next to one of the largest nature reserves in Shenzhen. The design of the campus as a whole considers this, incorporating public space and green areas, and improvements in energy use, nature, and technology.

The international center is the most public use of the five different centers that make up the campus. This lobby connects the two main auditoriums within the campus and represents the public interface with the city through the square it faces.

The proposal works as a guide towards the two auditoriums and the public plaza, by assigning different materials to different spaces, rock and wood for the auditoriums, and a reflective ceiling coming from the square. 

​

The intricated shapes in which the materials are placed into bring movement to an otherwise stiff space, suggesting simultaneously the circulations the public must follow.
